EMPEROR Needs Your Help
June 17, 2008Legendary Norwegian black metallers EMPEROR are currently looking for photo material from the live reunion period and are asking their fans for help. Photographs are being collected for possible use in artwork for upcoming live recordings (to be announced). If you have photos of EMPEROR live on stage, or of yourself or your friends posing with any of the EMPEROR members, please email low-resolution files to [email protected] (with the subject heading "Emperor Photos"). Material will be reviewed, and if material is to be used, the band will need 300 DPI files at a later point.
As previously reported, MetalKult.com has posted a video interview with former EMPEROR guitarist/singer Ihsahn.
The footage was captured when MetalKult editors Jimmy Hubbard and Brad Angle visited Norway last March. During the trip MetalKult traveled to Ihsahn's hometown of Notodden, where they sat down with the musician at his Symphonique Studios for an in-depth question-and-answer session.
In the interview Ihsahn discusses a diverse range of topics, including the aggressive sound of his latest solo release, "angL", his collaboration with OPETH's Mikael kerfeldt and how the "black metal expression" had to come from rural, isolated places like Notodden.
Also available on MetalKult, Ihsahn gives a gear tour of Symphonique.
